No. The full application runs in the browser, including opening and saving files, auto-save and crash recovery. In Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi) Ctrl+S saves back over the same file, just like on the desktop; Firefox and Safari fall back to the file picker. If you do want to install, there are builds for Windows, macOS and Linux.
