Civil engineering & infrastructure
In 2026/2027 OpenAEC is actively broadening the ecosystem towards ground, road and water works and civil engineering. Alongside the planned tools above, we are building IFCX namespaces for IfcRoad, IfcRail, IfcBridge, IfcTunnel and IfcMarineFacility — so one open format covers both buildings and infrastructure projects.
